Did you know? Today is World Water Day! Every year, World Water Day brings awareness to the importance of freshwater resources, as well as to the sustainable management of freshwater. This annual event is coordinated by UNESCO in collaboration with UNECE and UNDESA on behalf of UN-Water.
How will you celebrate World Water Day? To get you started, here are our ideas in 4 easy steps.
Use the hashtag #WorldWaterDay to tag your relevant posts. Tweet about anything related to water conservation, like "Turn off the faucet when you brush your teeth. #WorldWaterDay" or "Use center pivots to irrigate your crops. #WorldWaterDay"
2. Post to Facebook.
The World Water Day committee has created and provided to the public several Facebook posts that you can easily download and use! Check them out here.
3. Put a logo on your website.
You can find the official World Water Day logo on their website. Just download it and embed to your website to spread awareness.
4. Spread the word.
The easiest step you can take to celebrate World Water Day is to just spread the word. Tell you coworkers, your spouse, or your kids that today is World Water Day and all about what it stands for.
